On 19 and 20 December 2020, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, visited the Areas of Responsibility of the 80th and 95th Higher National Guard Battalions Commands.

During his visit, the Chief visited Units, Surveillance Outposts, and military facilities, confirmed the high operational readiness and morale of the personnel, and exchanged wishes with them in view of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

On 13 and 14 December 2020, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, visited the Area of Responsibility of D Army Corps “THRAKI”.

During his visit, the Chief visited Units, Surveillance Outposts, and military facilities, confirmed the high operational readiness and morale of the personnel, and exchanged wishes with them in view of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

On Tuesday, 15 December 2020, the oath-taking ceremony of first year cadets, Class of 2024 “Captain (Eng) Sotirios Stavriannakos”, was held at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in Vari, Attica.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, and the Army Inspector General – Commander of the Doctrine and Training Command, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Koutras.

On Friday, 04 December 2020, a ceremony was held at the Artillery School in Camp “Tagmatarhi (PB) Georgiadi Thoma” in Nea Peramos, Attica, following all COVID-19 protective measures, to celebrate the Patron Saint of the Artillery, the Great Martyr Saint Barbara.
